Why Should We Pay Twice? - SCC Hearing Tomorrow

Published
By United Loudoun

Tomorrow is the night. The SCC hearing at Rock Ridge HS is the most important step yet in stopping Dominion's overhead towers.

Attend the SCC Hearing - Arrive Early

📅 Thursday, September 18 🕡 6:30 PM 📍 Rock Ridge High School 43460 Loudoun Reserve Dr, Ashburn, VA 20148 📢Arrive by 6 PM if you plan to speak

Here's what the SCC must address: fair treatment to ratepayers

Dominion wants us to pay higher bills and live under 185-foot towers. Why should we pay twice?

Dominion has already told us every resident's bill will rise to cover data center energy demand. That's burden number one

Now they want 185-foot industrial towers through our neighborhoods too? All while Dominion's profits soar from this same data center boom

The system is broken - it rewards utilities and their executives for rushing projects because faster completion means faster revenue, and larger bonuses, regardless of community impact

We're becoming second-class ratepayers - paying higher bills and bearing the physical burden of industrialization driven by and primarily benefiting data centers

The cost of undergrounding should be passed to the large energy users creating this demand, the data centers. Residents shouldn't pay twice while data centers profit

Tell the SCC why it's unfair for residents to subsidize data center infrastructure while losing our quality of life
