Privacy
We collect as little as we can, use it only to run this site and send our updates, and remove it when you ask.
What we collect
Email updates. If you sign up, we collect your email address. Your Board district and the topics you follow are optional, and we collect them only if you choose them. We also record the page where you signed up, so we know which parts of the site are useful.
Event and timeline submissions. We collect what you submit, which we check against its source and may publish. If you give your name and email, they go privately to the person who reviews submissions. They are never published and never stored in the files that make up this site.
Contact form. Your name, email, topic and message come to our inbox.
How we count visits
Our host, Vercel, counts page views and measures site speed without cookies and without identifying you. We see totals only, never individual visitors.
Who handles it for us
- beehiiv stores subscriber details and sends our email updates, as our data processor.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that forms are sent by people, not bots.
- Resend delivers the notification emails our forms send to us.
- Vercel hosts the site.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not follow you across other sites, and we do not show ads.
Community directory
If we open a directory of community groups, each group is listed only with its approval and only with a role address or contact form. Never a personal name, email or phone number.
Remove your information
Every email update has a one-step unsubscribe link. To have anything else removed, email hello@unitedloudoun.org and we will remove it within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the date on this page.
