Golden to Mars: We Need You on Election Day

Election Day is next Tuesday, November 4 , and we need volunteers at Rock Ridge High School and Rosa Lee Carter Elementary to hand out flyers and raise awareness throughout the day

Volunteering is simple: you'll be handing out our one-page flyer and encouraging voters to submit their comments to the SCC.

We'll provide everything you need – just show up and help us stay visible.

We're starting with coverage during the busiest voting times (morning and evening rush), but if we get enough volunteers, we'll expand to stay visible all day long.

Don't just count on your neighbors - we need you!

Why the urgency?

A new wave of comments has appeared on the SCC website - all in favor of running power lines ABOVE GROUND through our neighborhood.

Yet none of these people appear to be from within our community.

On closer look, many of those commenters seem to have links to Dominion - retirees, former employees, even lobbyists.

They're trying to flood the system to drown out our legitimate comments.

We can't let that happen.

We've done a great job submitting SCC comments so far, but the pace has started to slow - and we need to pick it back up.

Three ways you can help:

First, if you haven't submitted a written comment to the SCC yet - even if you spoke at the hearing - please do it now .

Every single comment on the record matters, and it only takes a few minutes.

And remember - multiple people in the same household can submit their own comments, including kids of all ages.

So make sure everyone in your house submits a comment!

Second, share the info with your friends, relatives, and neighbors. Ask them to submit comments of support to the SCC as well. Of course, those in our local community are ideal, but as Dominion has shown - they can be from anywhere. The more, the merrier!

Third, grab a friend and grab a timeslot for Election Day.

Your neighborhood needs your help.

We've done a ton together, but we don't want to leave anything on the table. Every hour helps, and every face out there matters.

Let's show up, stay visible, and finish strong together.

Thank you for stepping up!
