It was great seeing everyone who joined last night. The energy was real. Let's bring even more of it tonight.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING - TONIGHT AT 6 PM

Loudoun County Government Center, Leesburg 1 Harrison St SE, Leesburg, VA 20175

The SCC process is not over, and continued public pressure is essential to ensure our community is protected. Even though the Board does not make the final decision on the transmission line, their support for undergrounding carries significant weight - and it is important they continue hearing directly from residents who are affected.

Please try to come out tonight. Bring a friend, or two. Bring your kids. A strong community presence sends a powerful message that residents care deeply about how this project is implemented. There is real value in just being there - the Board sees a full room, and it matters.

Plan to arrive before 6 PM. There is construction around the Government Center and it's St. Patrick's Day - expect more traffic and activity than usual. Give yourself extra time.

And if you have one, please wear your t-shirt tonight!

Want to Speak? You Still Can.

The Board's public input session begins as early as 6:00 PM and runs up to 90 minutes. Speakers typically get at least two-and-a-half minutes.

Already signed up? Great - prepare your speech (tips below).

Haven't signed up? You can still sign up in person beginning 30 minutes before the meeting on a first-come, first-served basis. Visit the clerk in the board room at the Government Center in Leesburg.

Prepare Your Speech

If you'd like to speak, keep it personal and keep it to about 2 minutes. Here's what resonates:

  • Start with who you are - your name, your neighborhood, how long you've lived here
  • Share what this means to your family - your home, your kids' school, your property value, your quality of life
  • Make a clear ask - accept the 8th easement, support the underground pilot program (HB 1487 / SB 827), don't signal that overhead is acceptable
  • Invite them to visit - "Come see our neighborhood. Stand where the towers would go."
